Artist Statement: Pragmatism and functionality are important factors present in the urban landscape. These attributes often result in the spaces becoming invisible and seldom appreciated by the public for its unique visual characteristics.

My practice centres on the visual formalism, which is present in these urban “non-places”, and coming to terms with their importance within the New Zealand landscape.
