BATCHELOR
Denise
Bio: Denise Batchelor is a visual artist working primarily in digital media, both still and moving image. Batchelor’s work reflects personal encounters within nature; quiet moments of reflection within which deeper connections can be experienced.
Following on from her first underwater filming in 2015, Batchelor’s work spans land and sea, giving viewers a glimpse into the often-unseen world of animalia, revealing the minutiae hidden within the familiar.
Batchelor has exhibited widely in New Zealand galleries, art centers and festivals and more recently, overseas. The recipient of artist residencies and art awards, Batchelor graduated MFA (Hons) from Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design 2010.
